Health and Safety Specialist

This role has the privilege of providing advisory and support to Accenture employees and HR team members across Australia and New Zealand on employee health and safety, and related programs.

Key Responsibilities

This role includes the following key responsibilities. Please review these in conjunction with career level guidelines (beneath) to gain a clear understanding of expectations.

 

  • The provision of people-centric, pragmatic, and compliant health and safety advisory  
  • Compassion and understanding of the impacts of illness and injury at work
  • Management of health and safety audits and accreditations, including ISO 45001 accreditation
  • Implementation and monitoring of health and safety programs and related policies and procedures to ensure adherence with statutory provisions and regulations and amendments across all Australian states and New Zealand
  • Management of, and advisory on, salary continuance and workers' compensation claims including regular liaison with insurers and HR Partners
  • Management of, and advisory on, Return To Work Programs
  • Promotion of programs led by Employee Relations, Health and Safety
  • Research, reporting, and identification of trends; and related proposals
  • Delivering educational presentations, including developing materials
  • Understanding of health and safety principles and how they relate to employee relations

  • Primary upward interaction is with direct supervisor. May interact with peers and/or management levels
