We are seeking a Cloud Automation Developer. The candidate will have 3- 10 years of experience demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of key tasks on a large high visibility IT program.
The Cloud Automation Developer will be responsible for delivering an automated configuration management solution for the public cloud (AWS) and private cloud (VMWare) to be consumed by OIT infrastructure and Directorate application teams. This will include working with teams to gather requirements, develop and maintain the capabilities, and explain how to use the solutions. The Cloud Automation Developer will design, develop, and test automation scripts for the automated configuration of infrastructure, services, and servers.
- 3-10 years of experience and a B.S. degree. Bachelor of Science (BS) can be substituted with an additional 4 years of related experience
2+ years experience with the following:
- Configuration Management/Server Automation (Ansible, Puppet, Chef or PowerShell)
- Python development
- ServiceNow Cloud Management OR Orchestration, OR AWS/Azure automation/administration/architecture;
- DevOps (preferably Jenkins and Jenkins Pipelines)
- STRONG PREFERENCE: Experience using ServiceNow Cloud automation
- Experience developing full end to end automation scripts for the deployment of infrastructure such as AWS EC2 and VMWare
- Experience patching servers and platforms using automation tools such as Puppet or Ansible.
- Experience with DevOps and associated tools such as GIT, Jenkins, Nexus
- Experience with docket container platforms such as OpenShift
