Business Process Services professionals work on projects across a range of business processes, business applications and information technology.  They may provide technology services, such as application management, infrastructure management and systems integration, or they may deliver business process services, including finance and accounting, procurement and human resources. Depending on the role, Business Process Services professionals may be based at a client’s office or in one of Accenture’s 50 delivery centers around the world. 


The Position:


Accenture is seeking a collaborative and results-oriented Sourcing Manager with expertise in a wide range of clinical and surgical product categories.  This position will work with and support leading healthcare providers by developing and executing sourcing strategies that achieve optimal pricing, quality and clinical outcomes.  In this capacity you will have substantial responsibility in supporting and delivering quantifiable hospital and health supply chain value.


The Responsibilities:

  • Identify cost, rationalisation and quantifiable improvement opportunities across all tiers of clinical and surgical categories and products.
  • Lead sourcing projects, including all key steps such as sourcing strategy development, supplier negotiation, award recommendations, business case presentations, implementation plans and contract execution.
  • Support and grow senior level stakeholder relationships by delivering insightful recommendations, quantifiable benefits and exceptional outcomes.
  • Promote corporate objectives and change initiatives, ensuring that the Clinical Sourcing Team is supporting overall company and client direction and growth 
  • Represent the Team as a category expert to current and prospective customers

The Opportunity:

  • Participate in the development and execution of significant and impactful clinical sourcing strategies
  • Drive category strategy to support a unified health group strategy, contributing to overall growth and delivery commitments
  • Develop team management skills, coaching wider team members in the art of clinical category expertise, demand management and supply chain within healthcare environments.

Required Qualifications/Experience:

  • Registered Nurse(with ED/theatre/acute experience looked upon favourably); or
  • Clinical Product Advisor role (preferably clinical or surgical generalist); or
  • Minimum 4 years hospital supply manager role; or
  • Minimum 4 years clinical and surgical procurement professional

Required Attributes:

  • Solid understanding of hospital, health and aged care environments
  • Strong appreciation for challenges faced within sourcing, imprest and clinical supply in hospital operations
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g. Microsoft Excel) and presentation software (i.e. Microsoft PowerPoint) and the desire to continually improve
  • Strong written and verbal skills with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate complex subject matters to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to deliver on transformational change
