Role Description


This is a techno-functional role where the Pega Business Process Architect leads one or more than one module of Pega project from the business analysis and business architecture aspects. Pega Business Process Architect participates and leads requirement gathering, conducting DCO workshops etc. for the project. The role may also be extended to Project lead and may involve managing a small team of business and system architects ( can vary from 2to 10 people team)  in a global delivery model setup. The role should ideally have Pega CBA certification as well other certifications such as Pega CDA, CSA etc


Role Responsibilities

  • Ensures that the business requirements, use cases, and objectives are being addressed throughout the implementation lifecycle. Interfaces regularly with the business to capture the application objectives and requirements. Facilitates and helps business resources prepare for DCO sessions. Manages the tasks and priorities of all Business Architects, and ensures artefact Quality.
  • Lead the business team in gathering requirements & choose the best way to implement requirements leveraging the Pegasystems software & DCO capabilities.
  • Understanding business process management & business requirements of the customers & translating them to BRD/Functional spec/User Stories
  • Ensure the documented Use Cases adequately represent the needs of the business & meet all requirements
  • Ensure that the enterprise standards are adhered to including storage of artefacts, traceability, version control & change control.
  • Document business rules, Assist with class structure design from the perspective of business needs, Design and configure rules & flows, Assist with draft UI & draft flow for development
  • Function as a technical business analyst by understanding business requirements & transforming those requirements into business specs.
  • Effectively communicating with internal teams & clients to deliver functional requirements like GUI, screen & interface designs.
  • Technical understanding of interface/integration technologies & deep understanding of customer's needs so that they can be transformed into operational requirements

Skills Required

  • Should have around 7+ years of IT experience with a minimum of 4 years of Pega experience
  • Good experience of generation of application profiles & application documentation wizards in Pega.
  • Strong underlying understanding of Pega technologies.
  • Should have experience in Process re-engineering & process modelling.
  • Pega Certified Business Architect is a must
