The Application Security team deliver security solutions to clients to enable them on their digital transformations. We enable clients to secure their journey to the cloud. We enable clients to protect their most critical assets, namely their data. We enable clients to transform their IT systems securely, and at a rapid pace using Dev Ops methodologies.
We enable clients deliver security at speed.
As a DevSecOps Consultants, you will assess, define, implement and/or support DevSecOps programs for our clients. You will provide information security subject matter expertise to projects ranging from simple projects to enterprise level transformational programs, enabling secure application development.
What responsibilities will you have?
Support our clients achieving the benefits that DevSecOps can offer.
Contribute to/participate in design and implementation of DevSecOps platforms, covering areas such as integrating security into build automation, deployment automation, test automation, SDLC orchestration, environment management, monitoring, and production release procedures.
Participate in development of junior DevSecOps team members.
Promote DevSecOps culture in our clients.
Drive adoption of tools and practices as the client transitions to DevSecOps.
Experience and ability to act in a consultative capacity with client personnel in addition to applying technical skills.
Customise Accenture's knowledge assets to deliver DevSecOps based solutions that are appropriate for each client;
Design and implement automation focused Security Services for our clients.
Identify existing vulnerabilities and working on appropriate mitigations before they propagate into damaging events.
Offer advice and practical assistance on information security challenges throughout the organisation;
Carry out tests on systems to expose weaknesses in security.
Work with a mix of Waterfall and Agile based delivery methodologies.
Automate repetitive or repeatable security tasks to save time for our clients.
Support project delivery and demonstrate experience of current trends and best practices to our clients.
Support building Accenture security offerings in API, cloud and container-based services.
Coach and mentoring our analyst population.
We are looking for a mix of skills in the following areas:
Excellent Scripting Skills on Linux and Windows Environments including: Bash, Python, Powershell, ruby, go.
Application development experience.
Expertise with one or more configuring management and orchestration tools: Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt, Bamboo.
Knowledge of container platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with developing and consuming API and Microservice based offerings.
Experience with monitoring and Log management tools e.g. Splunk, SumoLogic, LogStash, App Dynamics.
Knowledge of Web Application Firewall technologies such as ModSec, F5, Akamai, Checkpoint are a plus.
Application security concepts and code review.
Experience and exposure to vulnerability assessment tools such as Qualys, Burp Suite, MetaSploit or equivalent.
Experience with working in an Agile environment.
Solid understanding of OWASP and web technologies (scripting, SSL, HTTP/S).
Knowledge of modern web and mobile applications frameworks and their security requirements.
Knowledge of network architecture, protocols, and standards.
Experience in identifying active threats and working with real-time detection of external and insider threats and compromised user accounts.
Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience in working across a range of small to large projects in complex multi-vendor engagements.
A Can-Do attitude and a willingness to tackle difficult problems enthusiastically.
Applicants must be Australian Citizens.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer engineering.
Minimum 3-4 years’ industry experience.
Certification with one of the Major Cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud.
Additional Security Certifications and understanding of current industry best practices are highly desirable.
