Business Process Services professionals work on projects across a range of business processes, business applications and information technology.  They may provide technology services, such as application management, infrastructure management and systems integration, or they may deliver business process services, including finance and accounting, procurement and human resources. Depending on the role, Business Process Services professionals may be based at a client’s office or in one of Accenture’s 50 delivery centers around the world. 

 

The Position:

 

The Supplier Relationship Associate Manager (SRM) is a dynamic role responsible for driving pieces of our Procurement SRM offering to our internal and/or commercial Procurement Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) clients.  Within the role, there are 3 primary groupings of responsibilities corresponding to the different “jobs” the Associate Manager may be asked to perform:

  • Supplier Manager (SM)
  • Client Program Lead (CPL)

  • Strategic Program Lead (SPL)

Job Responsibilities: 

 

The Supplier Manager position is unique to the internal Accenture client and has responsibilities for managing 1 or more strategic supplier relationships.  These suppliers are typically core to Accenture Operations commercial offerings (e.g. HR BPO, Supply Chain BPO, Procurement BPO, etc.) or our corporate functions (HR, Contingent Labor, etc.). In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the supplier relationship across all in-scope SRM services including Performance Management, Risk and Contractual Compliance, Buying Support and Financial Management

  • Client and supplier stakeholder management

  • Scorecard design and development

  • Supplier continuous improvement

  • Savings realization, if applicable

The Client Program Lead job is for both internal and commercial clients. In this role you will be responsible for:

  •  Day-to-day SRM delivery responsibility (scope, timeliness, quality, costs, savings (if applicable)) across all in-scope services and suppliers for 1 or more clients

  • Account Management and Front office (aka Practice) relationship management and coordination

  • Status reporting (weekly/monthly)

  • Back Office coordination and management

  • Lead Supplier Segmentation

  • Providing SRM subject matter expertise to Front and Back Office functions

  • People management of Supplier Managers, Back Office and support resources

  • Stakeholder management, build and maintain positive client relationships

The Strategic Program Lead job is for both internal and commercial clients. In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Program management and accountability for a portfolio of clients receiving SRM services.  A portfolio could be organized around a geography, operating group or other client group.

  • Proactively evaluating opportunities to increase the number of internal or external clients receiving SRM services.

  • Sales support including on-site or delivery center presentations, supporting RFP responses, solutioning (e.g. SOW) deliverables, and estimating.

  • Business case development and representation

  • Leading mobilization activities and transitioning to Client Program Lead’s

  • People management of Client Program Lead’s

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Supplier Management experience, Procurement experience and/or experience in a supplier operational capacity

  • Minimum 3 years business operations management

  • Minimum 3 years of Project Management experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with virtual or cross functional teams

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in client facing roles – directly responsible for delivering on significant pieces of scope, quality, budget, resources, and schedule

  • Minimum 3 years of experience and demonstrated ability to review and understand supplier agreements, standard T&C’s, and their relationship to commercials

  • Minimum 2 years of experience authoring and/or leading the review of key, post sourcing, contractual documents such amendments or Statements of Work

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven negotiation skills

  • Quality Program experience and leadership

  • Financial Operations experience (PO Mgmt, Invoicing, Internal finance)

  • Sales Support and mobilization experience (deal shaping, estimating, planning and execution of mobilization activities)

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience working with and influencing multiple stakeholders including senior leadership

  • Technology Management experience

Professional Skills:

  • Coaching experience; ability to nurture and guide junior resources

  • Strong communication skills – ability to drive effective communications with senior internal and client leadership

  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment

  • Demonstrated ability to proactively and independently lead delivery of operational activities

  • Ability to drive transformational change

  • Solid multi-phase project management skills

  • Manage diverse teams to maximize performance and accomplish the business outcome

  • Manage and resolve team/personnel performance issues

Travel Requirements:

  • This position requires travel of approximately up to 10% to multiple customer locations
