Supply/Demand Balancing Lead (SDBL)
The Supply/Demand Balancing Lead determines the fulfillment strategy and channels for keeping supply (i.e. consultants/ Accenture Talent) at sufficient levels to meet client demand (recruit, contract, train, borrow).
The Supply/Demand Balancing Lead is also on point to determine the most likely incremental demand projection by analysing current demand, opportunity pipelines, availability forecasts, headcount plans, productivity metrics, and collaborating with finance to understand revenue forecasts.
  • Prepare and present management analysis using key metrics, articulating the underlying story behind the results. Recommend and implement specific actions to address any issues.
  • Monthly chargeability forecasting.
  • Manage, lead, and develop a team of 1-2 Talent Fulfilment Specialists.
  • Create and Optimize project resource plans by: understanding new demand via new business or client meetings; providing perspective on resource availability/challenges; and working with Resource Pools to address sourcing challenges and improvement opportunities.
  • Responsible for analyzing open role requirements, identifying resourcing risks, coordinating with the resource pool/ fulfillment channels.
  • Responsible for all client demand – helping to manage open roles, coordinating amongst various resource pools, prioritizing roles, and escalating issues. Working across multiple cross functional teams (e.g. Recruitment, Talent Fulfillment Specialists and Procurement) to provide a fully coordinated sourcing plan.
  • Balance the transactional and the strategic elements of client level supply/demand management.
  • Responsible for effective service delivery of all client supply and demand related processes.
  • Understand DTE financial plan and support short term and long term demand plans.
  • Make decisions (with business leader) about where / when to build, buy, borrow, rent for assigned resource pool.
  • Monitor key supply-demand metrics reporting related to the resource pipeline (client response time, average age of demand, overdue demand, chargeability, availability, etc.) for their CSG and take immediate actions to influence supply-demand imbalances and future forecasts (e.g. stop recruiting offers; adjust profiles; authorize contractor use, etc.).
  • Understand the talent supply landscape of the resource pool and underlying implications for the workforce and pyramid mix.
  • Develop/ adopt forward thinking and innovative staffing “Best Practice” for the CSG, and proactively sharing this amongst the other SDBLs.


  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience scheduling resources on assignments and balancing supply/ demand for resource pools, including headcount planning, and chargeability forecasting.
  • Deep understanding of the talent supply chain results and forecasts of the specific geography.  Solid understanding of the interconnections between TSC disciplines and constructs – headcount, chargeability, recruiting, demand, supply – and a fluency in connecting these impacts.
  • Knowledge of HR core concepts, processes, procedures and policies

  • Comfortable working with and managing virtual teams
