What you need to know about Accenture’s grad recruitment process

If you decide to apply, here’s what happens next:

1. We’ll read your application and email to let you know whether you got through to the…
2. Phone interview with an Accenture recruiter (see below).
3. Be patient! We have to work through thousands of applications. So it might take 3-4 weeks before we email to let you know whether you got through to the…
4. In-person assessment at Accenture’s offices in April:
   1. Consultants – do a 1-day Accenture Adventure
   2. Technologists – do a 2-day Tech Quest (common misconception: you don’t need to have a technical background to be part of Accenture Technology)
5. Within a couple of days, we’ll let you know how you did and (hopefully) make you an offer.
6. At that point, you’ll have a week to accept or decline.

FAQs

Any tips for my CV?
Include your outside interests! We want to get to know you, so put in what you’re passionate about. You don’t require a cover letter for your application, but you can weave this detail into your CV. Title the file “YOURNAME_CV” to make things easier for us. We will always endeavour to get back to you, even if it takes a few weeks.

What’s the phone interview like?
This is a quick call to get to know you. Impressive grades are great, but we also want to hear about who you are as a person. You might be asked:

• What are you passionate about?
• What do you do for fun?
• What’s your career plan?
• What have you done to build your skills? (work experience [if you have any – it’s not required], internships, societies, volunteering)
• Which part of Accenture do you think you might want to work in?

We’ll always be honest with you. If what you’re looking for isn’t here, we’ll let you know and we won’t waste your time. Our priority is to help you be successful in your job search. Even if you don’t end up at Accenture, we’ll give you advice on how you could improve your approach to career development.

How can I prepare?
Research us! Visit our website and read the blogs from our people about what it’s like to work at Accenture. You’ll find out what it’s like in the first year, what sort of development and training you’ll get and the sort of opportunities you’ll be given right away. Practice answering the questions above. But don’t get someone else to write you a script. It’s really important to be yourself.
