My Accenture Adventure

My Accenture Adventure

We spoke to Jordan about his experience with Accenture Adventure – read what he had to say below;

  1. Tell us more about your current role!
    I’m currently aligned with Accenture Digital working across industries in the Perth office. This means I’m adding value to businesses through analysing their data. However, my experience has been far wider than this. It’s been exciting because it’s been more than what I was expecting and I’m really interested to see what other opportunities will arise in the future!

  2. What has been your journey with Accenture?
    I completed the Accenture Adventure in October 2015. It was a great experience because it allowed me to learn more about the business as well as understand the challenges in everyday work. I was a bit nervous about accepting an offer so early, but the Accelerate program allowed me to network with my future colleagues and ask the pressing questions about life at Accenture before starting. The events were great fun too, ranging from coffee catch-ups to quiz nights with the other grads. I commenced work with Accenture in May of 2017 with orientation in Melbourne. It was a great experience to meet other new joiners based elsewhere in Australia there.

  3. What would you say to someone considering the Accenture Adventure?
    The one of piece of advice I would share about the Accenture Adventure would be to come in with an open mind! Be prepared to deal with a wide variety of challenges. Being able to meet other likeminded people (both students and Accenture employees) was a really enjoyable part of the Adventure experience. The ambiguous problems which were provided to us was the most challenging part of the experience, if you think you know the answer to everything, the experience will change your perspective pretty fast! Give it a shot and see what happens…

  4. What’s a typical day in the life of an Accenture analyst?
    It may be cliché, but it is true that no two days are the same. Agility is key as analyst; be prepared to help the team on client problems you may have little understanding of, learn new skills on a software suite or problem solve in a team of talented people with unique personalities. Work hard, above and beyond what is expected of you and it will be an extremely rewarding experience. Experience is key to gaining more responsibility on exciting projects!
