A leading global provider of products and services to the energy industry, embarked on a multi-year transformation journey to streamline,
standardize, and digitalize operations by fully implementing a Global ERP System (S/4HANA).
The Key business goals include strengthening data governance, enhancing platform standardization through a “Clean Core” approach, process optimization
and tax and statutory compliance for each location, with an ongoing focus on rapid response to commercial and operational needs.
To meet these goals, workshop sessions must be addressed for each key workstream to make key design decisions in the following areas:
• Financial Statements design and mapping
• Statutory and tax configuration needs
• Data migration/conversion
• Fixed asset tax booking
• E-Document/e-Invoice + DRC (fit to standard analysis and decision on WRICEF needed)
• TRM (Treasury & Risk Management
This transformation journey began with the a value architecting phase, and currently, the implementation phase is undergoing:
The implementation is split into separate releases for deploying SAP S/4HANA in different locations, covering critical processes such as Order-to-Cash (OTC),
Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Hire-to-Retire (H2R), and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM).
The RTR Team Member – SAP Product Costing plays a key role in managing and supporting the Product Cost Controlling (CO-PC) processes in SAP S/4HANA. This includes standard cost calculation, cost component structuring, variance analysis, and integration with financial reporting. The role ensures accurate product cost data for financial planning, budgeting, and profitability assessment across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Support end-to-end Product Costing (CO-PC) processes in SAP, including: Material Cost Estimates, Cost Component Splits, Overhead Costing, Activity Price Planning, Cost Object Controlling (Production Orders, Process Orders), Period-End Closing (WIP, Variances, Settlement)
Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure accurate cost master data (e.g., BOMs, routings, work centers, activity types).
Run and analyze standard cost calculations and ensure their release for new and existing materials.
UAT support for variance calculation and analysis and assist key user in identifying cost drivers.
Perform month-end closing testing of activities related to production costing and inventory valuation.
Configure and support costing variants, costing sheets, and overhead structures in SAP.
Ensure integration with General Ledger (FI), Material Ledger (ML), and Inventory Accounting.
Troubleshoot and resolve system or process issues related to product costing.
Assist in SAP CO-PC system testing, documentation, and user training.
Requisitos
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
8+ years hands-on experience in SAP Product Costing (CO-PC).
Strong understanding of standard costing, actual costing, and material ledger.
Familiarity with manufacturing cost flows, BOM/routing structures, and cost component split.
Experience with cost center planning, activity types, and overhead rates.
Solid grasp of integration between CO-PC, MM, PP, and FI modules.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret cost data and explain variances.
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with SAP S/4HANA Product Costing, and Universal Journal and Material Ledger.
Industry experience in energy, manufacturing, automotive, utilities, or life sciences.
SAP certification in CO or Product Costing.
Experience in financial transformation or ERP migration projects.
