North America Indirect Tax Analyst
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Tax Analyst specializing in US Indirect Taxes with a focus on Sales & Use Tax. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in tax return preparation, amendments, and assessments, as well as strong analytical and communication skills. This position involves working on tax compliance, audits, and reporting, offering opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative and flexible work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and file Sales & Use Tax returns accurately and on time.
- Conduct detailed tax data analysis and identify discrepancies in tax reporting.
- Handle amendment filings and provide support for tax audits and assessment defense.
- Manage tax payments and maintain proper documentation.
- Communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with U.S. State agencies and their representatives.
- Reconcile accounts related to tax payments and reporting.
- Perform taxability reviews of items sold and purchased.
- Prepare and deliver tax presentations to management.
- Handle business license registrations and maintain compliance.
- Prepare claims and track refunds for overpayments or credits.
- Analyze tax reporting data to detect issues and escalate problems as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure tax compliance and resolve related matters.
- Identify and assist with the implementation of process improvement ideas in the tax collection, filing and remittance procedures.
- Assist tax management with special projects.

Requisitos
Qualifications / Requirements
Hard Skills:
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in US Sales & Use Tax, including return preparation, amendments, and assessments.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Familiarity with tax workflows and data processes.
- Previous experience in communication with State agents and handling tax-related matters.
- Completed or currently pursuing a degree in Accountancy or Business Administration, or within the last two years of completing such a degree.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Critical thinking and a problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in tax audit defense.
- Proficiency with SAP software.
- General expertise in automation tools and advanced Excel usage.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and departments.
