Consultant/Analyst with Functional Analysis expertise to participate in software implementation projects for Public Service organizations mainly from North America. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and QA specialists to gather, document, and analyze business requirements, ensuring successful delivery.
This role requires strong communication skills, and the ability to perform data profiling and support quality assurance processes. Proficiency in requirements management tools like Confluence and Jira is a nice to have.
Key Responsibilities
1. Requirements Gathering & Analysis
- Coordinate and facilitate requirements-gathering sessions with clients and business end users.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit functional, non-functional, and technical requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear, concise, and actionable documentation.
2. Documentation
- Document requirements using "BA Pages" in Confluence, ensuring clarity and traceability.
- Create and manage detailed User Stories in Jira, including acceptance criteria, to guide development teams.
3. Data Profiling & Analysis
- Perform data profiling to assess data quality, identify anomalies, and ensure data alignment with business requirements.
- Analyze existing and new data sources to support business decision-making and enhance project outcomes.
4. Collaboration with Development & QA Teams
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure requirements are well understood and implemented correctly.
- Provide support to the QA team by reviewing test cases to ensure coverage of all functional and non-functional requirements.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and assist in resolving any issues or defects identified during the testing phase.
Requisitos
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in a Functional Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role.
- Experience in facilitating workshops, gathering requirements, and translating them into functional specifications.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of data profiling techniques and tools (e.g., SQL, Excel).
- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Will be valuable Proficiency in Confluence for documentation and collaboration and Experience with Jira for User Story creation and project management.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Public Service or non-profit sectors.
- Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or Agile methodologies (e.g., CSM, SAFe).
- Familiarity with QA testing tools and processes.
