Overview of Responsibilities

The AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) Sites Business Solution Lead is a key member of the AEM Platform Strategy team within the Marketing Capabilities & Agency Services team which is part of the broader Marketing + Communications (M+C) Intelligent Services group.  Within M+C, this role ensures that our marketing teams are operating at world class levels and consistently innovating and improving to remain best-in-industry. 

The AEM Sites Business Solution Lead is instrumental in driving the success of our digital initiatives and ensuring that AEM is utilized to its full potential. By providing strategic leadership, technical expertise, and effective collaboration, this role contributes to delivering outstanding digital experiences that positively impact our organization's growth and customer satisfaction. The AEM Business Solution Lead plays a pivotal role, responsible for leading and managing AEM-related projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and optimizing the use of AEM to enhance digital experiences. This role combines expertise in AEM, digital strategy, and project management to drive successful AEM implementations and oversee ongoing AEM operations. The AEM Sites Business Solution Lead collaborates closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver impactful digital solutions.

Specifically for our external-facing website (AEM Sites); the team manages our technology roadmap for the marketing and recruitment elements of the website; the oversight and evolution of the website user interface, features and functionality. The team helps ensure the platform is meeting the needs of our content publishing stakeholders. Collectively, the team drives the evolution of to enable our stakeholders, or “content owners,” to tell our company’s story online, creating deeper relationships with our target audiences of current and potential clients, jobseekers, media and investors. As the AEM Sites Business Solution Lead you will lead a team of three, yourself, the AEM Sites Experience Strategist and the AEM Sites Solution Strategist.

This role’s focus is to lead the technology roadmap for functional enhancement and design enablement initiatives that support the business strategy and product vision. Seeking to continuously improve the overall user experience. You will partner and collaborate with M+C stakeholders and Global Content Delivery to understand their business and functional needs. Utilizing Agile methodology and scrum framework, you will collaborate with CIO to develop website features and functionalities that enable M+C to deliver a world class site experience for story-branding and driving growth.


Role Specific Skills

  • Minimum 7 years combined experience in marketing operation, execution and capabilities
  • Extensive experience in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) implementation and management, focus on Sites
  • Expertise in the understanding of including modular or atomic design for websites, designing across view and headless CMS framework
  • Expertise with process flows and workflow design
  • Expert skills in written and oral communication (English), storytelling, presentation, problem solving, critical thinking and the ability to communicate between technical and non-technical audiences
  • Expertise in leading teams, delegating responsibilities and providing actionable feedback
  • Strong understanding of online usability and best practices
  • Strong understanding of online design best practices, including modular or atomic design for websites and designing across viewports
  • Strong understanding of online publishing and content management systems, with a focus on Adobe Experience Manager
  • Deep understanding of Agile development methodology and DevOps practices
  • Familiarity with web page loading speed benchmarks
  • Familiarity with website analytics and ability to analyze and interpret analytic reports
  • General problem-solving capabilities—ability to propose solutions to identified issues
  • Strong listening skills with ability to understand leadership priorities and requirements
  • Strong Microsoft Suite knowledge and ability, especially Excel, Word, PPT. Experience with workflow and production tools a (Workfront,, etc.)
  • Aptitude for effective collaboration in a cross functional work environment; experiences working with global teams across time zones

Key Responsibilities

  • Be detail-oriented and process-driven focused to create agile, repeatable, and scalable frameworks to deliver results 
  • Develop and communicate a clear AEM strategy and roadmap that aligns with the organization's digital objectives
  • Identify opportunities for leveraging AEM to improve digital experiences and drive business growth
  • Lead AEM implementation and enhancement projects, including scoping and project planning
  • Collaborate with development teams, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution
  • Partner with CIO on the technical aspects of AEM, including customization and integration with other systems
  • Collaborate with marketing, IT, and other departments to gather requirements and ensure AEM solutions meet business needs
  • Serve as the main point of contact for AEM-related inquiries and foster strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Work with solution architects to design AEM solutions that deliver exceptional digital experiences
  • Ensure that AEM solutions align with industry best practices and standards
  • Implement rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability and functionality of AEM solutions
  • Collaborate with Core DevSecOps teams to define, prioritize, test, and deliver enhancements in the areas of user experience, web operations, SEO and blogging platform
  • Collaborate with M+C stakeholders, including Accenture Creative, to understand functional and design needs
  • Collaborate with design agencies on new site features, functionalities, and interfaces
  • Answer questions from content owners on design system dos and don’ts as well as the website’s functional parameters
  • Support for the media team’s use on the website’s news release publishing platform
  • Support for the Accenture blogging community’s use of the blogging platform
  • Lead a team and enable their career growth
  • Successful track record of mentoring and leading direct reports
  • Lead by example, earn and give respect, be authentic, provide transparency, exhibit empathy, compassion and support your team
