Accenture Legal encompasses ~3000 lawyers, contract management and other professionals in 46 countries, making us amongst the biggest in-house units of our kind globally.

Legal Operations (Legal Ops) provides services to other Legal functions that improve their day-to-day efficiency and effectiveness, facilitate change and control costs. This SPOC role is part of the Strategic Programme & Operations (SP&O) team within Legal Ops.

Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity within Legal Ops to support the Legal Leadership in optimizing business-as-usual activities whilst helping evolve and deliver their portfolio of strategic projects and initiatives. In doing so have a holistic view of functional impact; manage risks and issues; and coordinate delivery and communication approaches to avoid confusion or duplication of efforts.

  • Other Corporate Functions: Legal Marketing & Communications; Legal HR; Legal Finance.

Key Responsibilities:

The individual will be supporting the Legal functions on several dimensions and is expected to dynamically prioritize this support as needed:

  • Governance: Supporting timely submissions of inputs, capturing decisions taken (including consequences and commitments); communicating and monitoring decision actions.
  • Programme Management (PM): Helping on selected initiatives by capturing and monitoring action logs; creation of templates, tools and aids, reporting etc.
  • Internal Communications: Helping functional team/stakeholder in internal communication activities.
  • Event Management: Providing support in organizing virtual events for functional team including agenda and content development, event logistics support, follow-up action capture and reporting.
  • People Programs and Engagement: Supporting the use of engagement surveys, analysis of results and development of action plans for engagement improvement.
  • Business Operations: Overseeing management of functional team’s distribution lists, organizational charts, asset register and access rights etc.
  • Management of IT Assets: Overseeing management of functional team’s shared mailbox, SharePoint, and other IT Assets. 
  • Headcount Management: Working closely with functional team and all involved to produce timely and accurate data reporting to gather insights on actual headcount and recruitment. Produce adhoc reporting as needed.
  • Technology & Innovation: Identifying opportunities for tactical improvements (e.g. through task automation, use of centralized tools / repositories etc.) and working with the Legal Tech Ops team to discover and describe the problem statements and requirements. He/she would have an active role in co-creating, testing and implementing the solutions. Provide support in the area of innovation in terms of tools or process improvement.


Qualifications and Experience Required:

The following elements are required:

  • Minimum of four years working experience in fast-paced project-based roles, be that consulting to external clients (e.g. in Strategy, Consulting or Digital), consulting internally (e.g. in AEE) or working on important internal initiatives. Relevant pre-Accenture work history will count towards this experience requirement.
  • Proven track record of supporting client or internal stakeholders in variety of scoping, planning, execution and monitoring activities.
  • Experience of working across multiple geographic borders and time zones.
  • Knowledge and competence in identifying and helping manage project risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office packages (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Demonstrable knowledge of FORM and application to practical examples.

  • Knowledge of strategy and operating model frameworks.
  • Exposure to data analytics, including modelling and visualization.
  • Interest and/or exposure to the Legal sector.

  • Project Management: responsible for guaranteeing the successful completion of projects and initiatives in a wide variety of fields.
  • MS office Suite.
  • Strong evaluation and problem-solving skills: able to identify the real issue, and to anticipate requirements and potential consequences.
  • Logical reasoning: able to demonstrate rationale behind any recommendations and achieve consensus around proposed outcomes.
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills: able to deal confidently, tactfully and appropriately with people of different disciplines and at all levels of the organization.
  • Influencing and negotiation skills: able to build strong relationships with multiple global stakeholders quickly via virtual tools; listen, understand and respond to any concerns.
  • Prioritization skills: Comfortable working within a large and complex environment with multiple stakeholders and interest groups.
  • Good to have executive presence and/or presentation skills.
  • Task management: Professional and organized approach to delivery. Able to work under pressure and to tight timescales, with minimal supervision.

  • Flexibility: Ability to manage diary and working pattern to enable more interactions with global stakeholders.
  • Resilience: Able to manage emotions and take steps to manage workplace frustrations constructively; remaining calm and positive under pressure.
