You are… 

A social expert with experience across social media’s various components, from strategy to content to listening. You have a strong understanding of the social landscape, particularly in the B2B space, and are someone who “walks the walk” when it comes to using social media, understanding the differences between different platforms, and how to leverage each platform most effectively. You approach social with a strategic, not just tactical mindset - but also know that a great strategy needs excellent execution to succeed. You have a knack for content, from crafting copy to recognizing good design, and understand that community management means listening, engaging, analyzing and optimizing—not just publishing. Your people skills are as strong as your social and planning skills. You are an excellent communicator and find it easy to build effective relationships with stakeholders. You are credible and can influence business leaders and team members alike.

The role…
Is focused on building a best-in-class social presence for Accenture that will ensure we engage with clients, recruits and employees. Based in Argentina, you’ll be a part of one global team of social experts representing different parts of the company—as well as teams such as Advertising, Campaign Management, Digital and Data & Analytics—to partner on initiatives. You will ensure the local (country) social plans are aligned to the global plan and set the strategic and operational approach for day-to-day social channel management, content creation, listening/engagement and events activation in LATAM.

The work…

Is rarely the same day to day, but centers on the need to:

  • Oversee Accenture’s social channels across LATAM and their content outputs, including listening, engagement and publishing, to ensure local social activity reflects both global approach and country priorities.

  • To be actively involved in social campaigns in LATAM - to work alongside country, business and OG social leads, as well as members of the social leadership team, to develop and execute high-impact, high potential social campaigns for our marquee events, programs and campaigns.

  • Work in real-time with global advertising/social leads on adapting and translating global social media campaigns to the LATAM Countries in the most compelling and effective way

  • Monitor social content and posts of competitors and best-in-class consumer and B2B companies across LATAM, to inform our on-going strategy and planning. To share insights with global social leads and other M+C colleagues as appropriate. 

  • Develop qualitative/quantitative KPIs around social performance country by country, and provide reports to leadership on performance.  

  • Actively integrate with social colleagues and extended teammates across all areas of Accenture M+C, collaborating on initiatives and sharing learnings, insights and ideas

  • To build effective and credible working relationships with the LATAM M+C lead and their senior team (country/GU M+C leads).

  • Creating a strong virtual team that are true social experts through team ideation, brainstorming and training sessions.

  • Coaching and training to senior LATAM leadership on their social channels and presence.

Skills and Work Experience

Here’s what you need:

  • At least 10+ years of hands-on experience in Social Media or similar field. Agency management experience preferred.

  • Strong understanding of both social strategy and execution for campaigns, events and real-time activations.

  • Good experience of working with senior stakeholders to build and develop local social marketing plans and strategies.

  • Excellent written and spoken English language skills, with a mix of written and comprehension in Portuguese and Spanish

  • You must have first class storytelling, influencing and communication skills.

Job Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Digital Marketing, Social Communications, Public Relations

  • Direct the design and execution of Accenture marketing activities for Accenture Businesses or geography, targeted to primarily client and external audiences, including recruits, design programs aligned to the entity's business strategy and leading the marketing team (including external agencies and contractors) to execute targeted programs/campaigns.

  • Provide strategic counsel to entity leadership.

  • Track program execution including metrics and measurement.

  • Some latitude in decision-making. Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.

Impact or Decision Impact (Risk or consequences in the event of failure, as measured by range of expected impact such as within a team or across a team or area of responsibility and level of risk):

  • Decisions have a major day to day impact on area of responsibility.

Scope (Degree of accountability for assigned tasks, our clients and/or the organization, as measured by size of work effort and scale of entity and/or program):

  • Manages large - medium sized teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Accenture.


  • English native/professional level.

  • Plus Spanish and or Portuguese preferred.
