Job Description  

Research and Contract Intelligence Team Overview

 
The Research & Contract Intelligence Team is part of the Global Legal Network specifically within the Acquisitions, Ecosystems and Corporate Advisory organization. The team is primarily responsible for reviewing contractual records submitted to the Manage My Record (MMR), identifying specific metadata in such contractual records and ensuring the correct metadata and associated documentation is made available through the Research & Contract Intelligence (CW Tab) functionality of MMR. The team also primarily performs the review and analysis of the Force Majeure and Business Countinuity Clauses within the Accenture contracts using appropriate tools.
 
At a high level, the team will consist of management (responsible for team management and quality assurance), legally trained resources (responsible for contract metadata) and admin staff (responsible for managing the work queue, chasing up outstanding items and reformatting of documentation).
 
Responsibility
 
Risk Management
  • Identify and escalate non-standard FM/BCP clauses.
 
Quality Assurance
  • Participate actively in the QA Process by providing a summary of contract compliance issues to QA Team Management.
 
Manage and Track Contractual Compliance
  • Review MMR approved contractual documentation for compliance with RCI requirements.
  • Verify that all required metadata included and where this is not the case either review contract to extract metadata or request additional information from relevant persons.
  • Once all required information is available, flag contract documentation as approved by RCI.
  • Where all required information cannot be acquired, flag contract documentation as Delinquent.
  • Contribute to the firm’s tracking process/system and monitoring for contract compliance; identify non-compliance issues and support their resolution, as appropriate.
 
Contract Abstraction
  • Review Contractual terms and conditions. Upload these abstracts in the Central Repository.
  • Prepare abstraction for key terms and terminologies.
  • For issue cases follow up with project MD’s and Deal POC’s.
 
FM/BCP Support
  • Provide FM/BCP legal support related with contractual information requests. (Force Majeure, BCP, Liabilities, among others).
 
RCI Support
  • Assist Admin Assistants with responses to RCI support queries.

Qualifications

Skills & knowledge
  • Law Degree as a plus
  • Minimum of 6 month to 1-year experience in the field
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively seek required documents and drive required outcomes
  • Experience in reviewing and drafting legal documents and contracts
  • Proficient at Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Fluency in English
  • Demonstrate written and oral communications skills and the ability to articulate ideas effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills
