Job Description

The specialist directly supports the Tax Operations Group and CFM teams to meet complexity in the Intercompany (IC) area due to global engagements with multiple billing arrangements. The Specialist would monitor and investigate complex engagements (multiple billing and work locations) setup within Accenture to ensure the WBS structure complies with Accenture policy and to verify the intercompany revenue and expenses are properly recognized and valued in the correct legal entity. In addition, the specialist will assist in creating and communicating job aids and best practices.


Main duties:

The following is an example of activities and is not comprehensive:

• Review and approve the set-up of local billing structures on engagements

• Liaison with various finance groups (CFM, CDTS, Country Controllership, Global Tax, etc.) to ensure local billing structures follow existing policies and procedures

• Prepare and review engagement reports by legal entity

• Based on engagement review, propose and record intercompany journal entries

• Provide support to Country Controllership related to the impact of intercompany adjustments

• Prepare and review engagement results by legal entity to support audit requests or local statutory year end requirements

• Continue to implement processes using automation tools to better align with customer requirements

• Develop and implement global practices and procedures for intercompany transactions

• Prepare and present training on complex engagements on as needed basis

• Supervise team analysts, manage team priorities, and provide career guidance


• Education:  University degree in accounting or finance

• Working knowledge of business and finance fundamentals

• Strong organizational, analytical, prioritization, multi-tasking skills

• Ability to work independently with high degree of accountability

• Excellent attention to detail and follow-up skills

• Strong oral and written English language skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)


Nice to Have Skills/Qualifications:

• CFM experience on global engagements

• Proficiency in SAP
