Accenture and Huaxing decided to implement the SAP platform at two sites in Foshan City, Guangdong province, China. The objective was to improve the core business process and define the SAP template, with the implementation at these sites acting as pilots for the groupwide implementation in the second phase.
The second phase involved moving the remaining production plants to the new platform. In addition, Accenture helped Huaxing implement modules for capabilities such as project system, business warehousing, human resource management, comprehensive budget management and decision-making analysis reports.
Following the deployment of the SAP ERP system, Huaxing Glass Group has improved its operation efficiency, reduced operation cost and cut internal communication time by more than one-third.
Further, with the integration of its business functions and the underlying data systems, Huaxing has created a common platform to manage core business operations.
This has enabled its various departments and divisions to work more closely together, improving efficiency and enabling synergies. In addition, SAP will provide the foundation for accelerating business expansion.
