Everest Group Names Accenture a Mortgage BPO Leader

Accenture has emerged as a mortgage BPO front-runner in Everest Group’s PEAK Matrix™.

In its “Mortgage BPO ‐ Service Provider Landscape with PEAK Matrix™ Assessment,” Everest Group recognizes Accenture as a Leader in providing mortgage BPO services. With its “robust technology offerings and holistic suite of services, Accenture is well-positioned to service the newer market demands.”

The report recognizes Accenture’s efforts to innovate mortgage BPO services, citing ongoing enhancements for loan origination systems that support regulatory requirements, compliance, mobility, analytics, reporting and data integration. In addition, Everest Group recognizes Accenture as having the “broadest SAFE Act Licensure ‐ onshore and offshore in 49 states, plus Washington, D.C. and Chennai, India.”

Everest Group also notes that mortgage-specific acquisitions have enhanced Accenture’s services, including the acquisition of Zenta, a majority stake in Vivre Brasil and the acquisition of Mortgage Cadence, a US provider of loan origination software and electronic document management services.

Background

The report evaluates 14 global mortgage BPO service providers, reviewing market success, scale, scope, technology solutions and innovation, and delivery footprint. Everest Group distinguishes Leaders by their “all-round excellence in terms of both market success and delivery capability.”

Looking at the broader market, Everest Group notes that the “role of BPO assumes greater importance in the mortgage landscape as regulatory bodies continue to increase their oversight on mortgage activities of banks. This, coupled with the newer entrants in the space (for instance, small banks), is also causing a spike in the demand for mortgage BPO.”
