This is the third consecutive year we get to be part of this major and exciting event. The event curates the emerging technologies from around the world that will change the shape of business and the way we live and work.

Accenture is the exclusive Digital Transformation Partner of GITEX Technology Week, leading transformation journeys in the region. In 2015, Accenture signed a three-year agreement with the Dubai World Trade Centre to become the exclusive digital transformation partner of GITEX Technology Week. Accenture will team with the event organizers, Dubai World Trade Centre, to deliver compelling, industry-leading insights on how digital technology is transforming businesses and governments in the region, as well as globally.

Mike Sutcliff, Group CEO, Accenture Digital, who will be a Grand Keynote speaker. Mike will help drive discussions on the best practices to innovating in the New to stay ahead in a fast altering business reality where industry boundaries are blurring. Mike, a keynote speaker last year too, helped launch Accenture Digital in 2013 and develop it into the largest and fastest growing digital agency in the world with a staff strength of more than 40,000.
Accenture thought leaders will once again share their points of view with CEOs and CXOs at the upcoming GITEX Technology Week, based on their vast experience of guiding digital journeys of global and local clients. As this is the third consecutive year of our participation as the Exclusive Digital Transformation Partner at GITEX, we get to further establish our brand of thought leadership in the region. Our senior leaders will take this opportunity, therefore, to show how Accenture is helping enterprises find practical routes to adopt fast-changing technologies and lead in innovation. Their views will be set in the context of the evolution of human-centred artificial intelligence and other digital technologies, blockchain, and the ongoing development of the Industrial Internet of Things.
Accenture, has always played a significant role in supporting the ecosystem that we thrive in. As the exclusive digital transformation partner at Gitex, we are building vital bridges between top-tier accelerators, start-ups, and universities, with the aim to bring innovative solutions to market. As the awards patron in this year’s student lab contest we continue to position Accenture at the core of innovation, securing key visibility amongst the world’s most promising talent. The student lab award ceremony will take place on October 12, 2017 in Sheik Rashid hall. A panel of valued judges will select a winner, along with two runners-up. Accenture will award the winning team of Gitex’s 2017 student lab competition with the exciting opportunity to intern at Accenture.
Accenture’s demos at the Etisalat booth will offer visitors a personalized and interactive experience utilizing the latest gadgets to demonstrate how Accenture’s technology solutions are helping companies to discover, transform, and innovate in a connected world – in line with the overall theme of this year’s event – re-imagining realities.

Accenture will launch the ‘The Accenture Innovation Awards’ for participating start-ups. The awards promote Accenture’s commitment and support to the start-up ecosystem, and will further position Accenture as a catalyst for Innovation in the region, as well as providing thought leaders on Innovation, aligning Accenture with the UAE vision of 2021.

Last year GITEX Technology week attracted over 300 start-ups, this year over 1000 start-ups from over 60 countries will in attendance, making it the fastest growing start-up show in the Middle East, Africa and South East Asia.

The GITEX start-up initiative is a global gathering of investors, incubators, accelerators, government, end users, start-ups. The program consists of conferences, mentoring sessions, office hours, fireside chats, interviews, pitch competition and face to face meetings, with over 20 media partners present, with Accenture’s Innovation Awards playing a key part of this year’s event.

The Accenture Innovation Awards will take place on October 9th, 2017. Participants will be shortlisted and go on to present in front of a panel of valued judges, made up of Accenture, GITEX, and Etisalat executives, who will select an overall winner from a shortlist under the theme of Social Impact. The winning start-up will receive a trip to Silicon Valley provided by Accenture, and an automatic place on the shortlist for EXPO Live grant program of $100,000.

Michael R. Sutcliff is Group Chief Executive of Accenture Digital. Mike helps clients create or react to digital disruption across industries around the world. Mike is a thought leader in digital transformation topics providing insights with business and technology media. Gianmario Pisanu is the management Consulting lead of Accenture in the Middle East and Turkey. With twenty years' experience in Consulting working at the intersection between business and technology across Europe and the Middle East, the focus of his work is digital transformation strategy design and implementation in the Public Sector. As an Accenture senior leader he managed international Consulting portfolios, built new teams and helped clients shape and execute complex change programs. Gianmario has a keen professional and personal interest in digital social innovation, impact investment and the future role of governments. He lives in Dubai with his wife and children.​

Jitendra Kavathekar leads Accenture Open Innovation at Accenture Technology transforming technology innovation into business results for Global 2000 companies.

As Managing Director for Open Innovation, Jitendra leads an entrepreneurial team that engages in ecosystems of innovation globally. The goal is to help Accenture bring broad yet highly innovative and cutting-edge solutions to its clients.
