Robert Wollan is a senior managing director at Accenture Strategy and functional managing director for Customers & Channels within Accenture Strategy. His role focuses on driving Strategy and Consulting work around the Salesforce.com platform, while also helping to coordinate across Accenture businesses to build our broader Salesforce.com business at scale and with improved profitability. Robert is also a member of the Accenture Global Leadership Committee.
In addition to his client responsibilities, Robert serves on the Board of Trustees at the St. Catherine University (Executive Committee) and the Board of the Minnesota Children's Museum (Strategic Planning Committee). His previous board affiliations include the International Standards Committee for COPC-2000 and the Board of Directors for CustomerWorks, a customer management solutions provider. Robert holds seven patents for innovations in CRM, with two additional patents pending.
Robert is an eminent authority on customer service delivery and next generation customer experience, has authored several articles, and is frequently quoted in the business and technology press, including Forbes, Fortune, Wall Street Journal, AdAge and Inc., among others. He co-authored his first book, titled The Social Media Management Handbook (J.W. Wiley). Most recently, he co-authored a book entitled Selling Through Someone Else (J.W. Wiley), which explores how new ecosystems of partners can be created, managed and incentivized to drive greater sales and profitability.
Robert holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance & Economics from the University of St. Thomas and attended the Executive Program at the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland. He is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
