Jonathon Allaway is Accenture’s Group Technology Officer for Financial Services. In this role, he is responsible for developing industry-specific technology strategies and shaping technology-enabled change programs for banking, insurance and capital markets clients. He is responsible for Accenture Financial Services’ network of technology alliance partners and oversees relationships with CIOs at its largest clients.
Building on three decades of large-scale business change and technology implementation experience in the region, Mr. Allaway re-joined Accenture in 2012 as the Senior Managing Director of Sales for Financial Services in Asia Pacific.
Mr. Allaway has held a number of leadership roles in the financial services industry. He worked for ANZ Bank as Group Managing Director of IT Strategy, Change & Project Management and he successfully led ANZ’s $800 million, six-country integration of Royal Bank of Scotland in Asia.
In 2005, Mr. Allaway founded Allaway Management Consulting, providing a range of consulting services to CEOs and CIOs in the banking, funds management and private equity sectors. He was also the co-founder of Saltbush Capital Markets, a private equity firm with investments in telecommunications, aged care, parking, rural and financial sectors.
Prior to this, Mr. Allaway worked for Accenture during the 20-year period from 1984-2004, managing a number large, complex investments for clients. In 1997, he was promoted to Managing Director and led Accenture’s Financial Services business in Singapore, overseeing very significant growth in the business.
Mr. Allaway has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Sydney University. He resides in Singapore.
