Anne O’Riordan is the senior managing director of Accenture’s Life Sciences industry group with responsibility for growing and developing the global Life Sciences practice. She has more than 26 years of experience in the life sciences industry and has lived and worked in each of Accenture’s operating units: North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
Anne has dedicated her career to working with Life Sciences companies around the world. Between 2008 and 2012, Anne led the Life Sciences practice in Asia Pacific and focused on strategic client development, market entry and business transformation. Previously, Anne led the European Health & Life Sciences business, working with clients across all European countries on significant regional transformation initiatives.
She has significant experience with front and back office transformations for life sciences clients including business and IT strategy, sales and marketing optimization, ERP implementation, R&D transformation, business process outsourcing, application outsourcing and infrastructure transformation on a global, regional and local basis.
Anne was also previously the Growth & Strategy Lead for Products, responsible for targeting, acquiring and merging companies into the Accenture portfolio.
Anne has a BSc in Biotechnology with a double major in Molecular Genetics and Biochemical Engineering and a minor in Marketing, as well as a postgraduate degree in Financial Accounting and MIS from the University of Galway, Ireland.
She is based in Hong Kong and is an active member of The Women’s Foundation and co-chair of the Women of Influence Committee in Hong Kong. She is also a co-author of the book Healthcare Disrupted: Next Generation Business Models and Strategies for Life Sciences (Wiley, 2016).
