At the core of Accenture is our unwavering commitment to equality for all. We take a broad view of diversity, which includes the many different racial and ethnic backgrounds of our people around the world. We believe inclusion and diversity unleashes innovation and creates a culture where everyone feels they have equal opportunity.
In the face of more tragic losses of African American and Black lives in the U.S. as a consequence of racism, in June of last year, we reaffirmed our unwavering commitment to equality and justice for all, zero tolerance for racism, bigotry and hate of any kind—and our stand against all violence.
We announced three actions to fight racism, and I am pleased to share an update on our progress, including—increasing our race and ethnicity representation, having 95% of our U.S. people complete our new anti-racism training and making substantial new investments in our communities, such as our Black Founders Development Program, the OneTen coalition in the U.S. and MOBOLISE in the U.K.
We will continue to make progress toward our new goals in the U.S., the U.K., and South Africa to increase race and ethnicity representation in our workforce overall and among managing directors.
At Accenture and in our communities we can and must do more until there truly is equality for all. I am optimistic because I see every day what the people of Accenture are doing to be part of the change.
