Managing Director Retail, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America (EALA)
Adrian Bertschinger is the lead for Accenture's Retail industry in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America (EALA). He is responsible for retail business planning, industry development, investments and market strategy. Bertschinger joined Accenture South Africa in 1992 and has extensive retail industry, supply chain, enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementation, application management and business process outsourcing experience. In addition to the time he has spent in South Africa, Bertschinger has worked in the Middle East, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana and France. He qualified as a civil engineer from the University of Cape Town and also has a degree in commerce.

Managing Director – Technology, South Africa
André Nel is a managing director within Accenture’s Technology practice. In his current role, he is responsible for leading technology engagements—specifically system integration and outsourcing projects across industries, including public services, health, communications, products and financial services. Nel joined Accenture in 1995 and has significant understanding of the delivery challenges and key-client insights on major technology and outsourcing programmes. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with majors in Computer Science and Financial Accounting from the University of Stellenbosch.

Bavini Naidoo is a managing director within Accenture Technology. In this role, she heads up its SAP human capital management capability in the Resources sector and is responsible for helping many of the country’s mining houses solve pressing human resource (HR)challenges—critical in todays charged labour environment. She also leads HR implementation for a major gold mining company. Before assuming her current role, Naidoo fulfilled a range of technical and management consulting roles within Accenture, gaining valuable experience. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Mathematics.

Managing Director – Accenture Technology, South Africa
Bertrin Pekeur is a managing director within Accenture Technology, responsible for the sales and delivery of large scale IT transformation projects. Pekeur re-joined Accenture in 2006 and serviced blue chip clients locally and in the United Kingdom, Australia and Botswana. Pekeur worked mostly within the Resources industry, particularly in mining. Pekeur holds an Honours degree in Commerce and also completed a Masters degree in Business Leadership (MBL).

Brett Grobbelaar
Managing Director – Resources, South Africa
Brett Grobbelaar leads Accenture’s South African Resources operating group. In this role, he focuses on business transformation in the natural resources, utilities, oil and gas, as well as chemical industries. He is a specialist in large transformational programmes, and over the years has helped many industry leaders transform their businesses. Grobbelaar joined Accenture in 1995 and holds a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand.

Managing Director – Resources, South Africa
Cameron Tandy is a director in the Resources group at Accenture South Africa. In this role, he is responsible for client account leadership and has a wide range of programme and project management experience, from numerous large-scale technology implementations in the resources industry. Tandy has deep functional and industry experience across the resources industry, including mining, utilities, energy, and local governments within South Africa and abroad—such as the Netherlands, Mauritius, Botswana, Namibia, Australia, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia and the United States. He has thus gained good knowledge on the impact of technology, as well as opportunities and challenges faced by large organisations in the resources sector. Tandy joined Accenture in 1999 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, as well as a Master of Business Administration degree from Wits Business School.

Chris Ruscoe
Managing Director – Financial Services and Technology, South Africa
Chris Ruscoe is a managing director working in the Financial Services group at Accenture South Africa. In this role, he is responsible for helping financial services companies use technology more intelligently. He has managed the implementation of large SAP banking solutions. Currently he is assisting one of South Africa’s leading banks to implement a new core banking solution. He joined Accenture in 1996 and has primarily focused on the delivery of large and complex SAP projects across various industries. Ruscoe holds an Honours degree in Science with a major in Computer Science.

Managing Director – Technology, South Africa
Christine Tandy is a managing director at Accenture, responsible for the successful scoping, delivery and maintenance of large-scale SAP projects in the utilities, mining, products and banking sectors. She is skilled at helping large companies position themselves for high performance, by consolidating their systems through common process and configuration templates. Tandy joined Accenture in 1996 and has a Bachelor of Commerce degree, with an Honours degree in Information Systems from the University of the Witwatersrand. She is also the head of the Women’s Forum in South Africa, which supports women in defining and achieving successful careers at Accenture.

Donovan Muller is managing director within Accenture South Africa’s Resources business, with a strong focus on IT systems delivery. His responsibilities include enterprise business solutions and customer relationship management—specifically in the mining, utilities, local government and energy sectors. Muller joined Accenture in 1988, and has over the years worked extensively on the design, implementation and deployment of large and complex business solutions. He is a qualified chemical engineer, graduating with a Master of Science degree in Energy Engineering from the University of Cape Town.

Eben Smit is a managing director within Accenture South Africa’s Resources operating group and leads its local energy practice. He joined Accenture in 1996, and in his 18-year consulting career led numerous, large business transformation initiatives across a variety of asset-intensive industries, including oil and gas, as well as utilities and mining. Over the years he has picked up a wide array of functional, technical and management experience. Smit’s key areas of expertise include: operating model transformation, supply chain transformation, strategic sourcing, operational improvement and shared services implementations. He also has been involved in numerous systems integration projects, including SAP rollout programmes across Africa. His current focus areas include capital projects, engineering systems and engineering data management solutions. Smit holds a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering degree from the University of Pretoria, a Postgraduate diploma in Marketing from the University of South Africa and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Stellenbosch.

Managing Director – Health & Public Service, South Africa
Edna Eason is a managing director within Accenture’s Health & Public Service industry group. She leads the technology services for the industry, across all three tiers of government, as well as the health industry—public and private. Eason’s focus is on the delivery of large-scale transformation programmes, utilising her experience in the system development lifecycle, across diverse technologies. She joined Accenture in 1994 and has also consulted for the Financial Services industry. She holds a Bachelor of Economic Science degree, majoring in Computer Science and Economic Science from the University of the Witwatersrand.

Eliseo Belmonte is a managing director within Accenture South Africa’s Technology business and the SAP lead for Africa. In this role, he is responsible for SAP capability growth and business development. A SAP specialist in finance and business intelligence, Belmonte joined Accenture in 1990 and over the years has been involved in some of the largest SAP global implementations across the United States, Latin America, Asia, and Europe. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Universitat Politecnica Barcelona and undertook postgraduate studies in Business Administration at IESE.

Managing Director – Resources, South Africa
Etienne Steyn is a managing director in the Resources group at Accenture South Africa. In this role, which includes local and international projects spanning multiple industries and broad technology domains, he is responsible for business transformation, information technology strategy, and client delivery in complex business environments. Steyn joined Accenture in 2006 as an experienced hire and, during his time with Accenture, he has worked on several key SAP projects for clients in the public, financial services and mining sectors. Steyn holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with Honours in Business Management from the University of Potchefstroom and a Master of Commerce (MBA) degree in Business Management from the University of Johannesburg.

Managing Director – Communications, Media and Technology, Africa
Fernando Usera leads Accenture’s Communications, Media and Technology practice in Africa. In his 17-year career, he has worked in the telecommunications industry in his native Spain, Italy, Morocco, and Latin America. For the past 10 years he has focused on the dynamics of emerging markets, and his experience spans key areas such as strategy, market analysis, programme management, client relationship management, marketing and sales, product development and mobility solutions. Usera joined Accenture in 1987 and holds a degree in Science and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and IESE, respectively.

Hayley Walters is a managing director within Accenture Strategy. In her current role, she is responsible for Operations and Sourcing & Procurement areas. She joined Accenture in 2006 and has experience mainly in retail and consumer goods, energy, mining, and utilities. Walters also has extensive experience in the fields of strategy sourcing, procurement and integrated supply chain management. She was integral in the establishment of Accenture's procurement business process outsourcing unit. Walters holds an Honours degree in Commerce.

Ilan Sparrius is a managing director in the Products operating group. She focuses on the Consumer Goods & Services (CG&S) industry and is currently working with one of the world’s largest brewers, as well as several other major local and global CG&S clients. Sparrius also has extensive experience in the retail sector, having worked with South Africa’s largest apparel retailer for eight years on projects relating to planning and replenishment; sourcing and procurement, and supply chain. Prior to joining Accenture in 2005, Sparrius worked at Massmart and Unilever. She graduated from the University of Stellenbosch with a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering degree.

Jan Bouwer is a managing director within Accenture South Africa’s Health & Public Services. In his role, he is responsible for strategy development and implementation, programme and project management, and stakeholder management in the health and public service sector. Bouwer joined Accenture in 1992 and has played a pivotal role in developing and delivering major transformation programmes for a number of public service clients. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Information Systems with majors in Economics and Accounting from the University of Johannesburg.

John Watling is a part of the business development and delivery team in Accenture South Africa's Resources operating group. He recently created and helped implement an innovative consulting, technology and outsourcing deal with the South African division of a major global mining house. He has also worked with clients to explore how Accenture can team with them to increase shareholder value. Watling joined Accenture in 2006 and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, as well as a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Cape Town and Anderson Business School.

Ken Robinson is a director within Accenture’s South African Resources operating group, specialising in finance and strategy. He has managed large-scale projects in electricity, oil and chemicals, mining, financial services and the retail industries. Robinson has been involved in many of the major strategic challenges of the electricity industry including future scenarios in the structure of the industry, involving Eskom, municipalities and independent power producers. He has also played a key role transforming processes, human performance and technology. Robinson is a former President of the Institute of Management Consultants of South Africa.

Lee Naik is the managing director of Accenture South Africa’s Technology Strategy business. Lee has been with Accenture for 16 years and is a technology and digital expert, with extensive knowledge of all major industries, digital technology trends, technology transformation and business model design. His current focus is on helping organisations navigate the challenges and opportunities presented by emerging and digital technologies, transforming their businesses to be relevant in an ever changing and increasingly digital world. Lee qualified from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.

Livingstone Chilwane leads the Health & Public Service operating group for Accenture South Africa. He assumed this role when he re-joined Accenture in 2012. Most recently, he has held senior positions at Gijima AST, SAP and the Gauteng Shared Services Centre, and was executive manager at Diebold South Africa. Chilwane holds an Honours degree in Science and a Master of Commerce degree in Information Systems.

Louis Rossam is a managing director within Accenture’s Outsourcing business in South Africa, with a focus on the Products operating group, serving companies in the consumer goods, retail, transportation and other consumer-relevant industries. Luis Rodriguez is a Management Consulting lead for one of Accenture South Africa's largest banking clients, having joined Accenture in 2000. He has worked in Europe, America, Asia and Africa for clients mostly in the financial services sector with minor experience in the telecommunications space. He also worked as a trader in futures and options markets. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Business and Finance, a Master of Business Administration (with majors in International Business and Finance) and has completed International Business studies at Harvard University.

Mandisa Ntloko is Marketing & Communications director for Accenture in South Africa. In this role, she is responsible for the planning, development and implementation of the organisation's marketing and communications strategy. Ntloko joined Accenture in 2014 and holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Industrial Sociology from the University of the Witwatersrand. Markus Gschwari is a managing director within Accenture Strategy. He leads the operations and supply chain areas, assisting organisations to create significant value at the intersection of business, technology and operations strategy. He is a cross-industry value creation and transformation specialist, enabling sustainable transformation along the entire value chain—with a clear focus on linking strategy with operations excellence and execution capability. Gschwari is an Austrian national who has made South Africa his home. He has worked extensively with large South African organisations in energy, mining, products, telecommunications, banking and the public sector. Gschwari has led large scale transformation programmes in the European Union, Russia and South Africa. He is a subject matter expert on procurement and sourcing, industrialisation, supplier development, and localisation. His expertise ranges from business strategy development to operational excellence, all the way to ERP systems implementation and enterprise architecture. Markus holds a postgraduate certificate in Management from the Open University in the United Kingdom.

Mariano Salmerón leads Accenture's strategic sourcing/supply chain business in the Spain, Portugal, Africa and Israel area for the Resources operating group, and is a managing director at Accenture South Africa. His areas of expertise include programme management, SAP, discrete and process manufacturing and supply chain management. Salmerón joined Accenture in 1994, and has worked internationally on several large transformational projects. He holds a Master's degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, and is certified in Production and Inventory Management by APICS, the association for operations management.

Marlize Claasen is a managing director within Accenture's Products operating unit. She is currently part of the leadership team for SABMiller, accountable for all technology related work across a number of geographies. She joined Accenture in 1995, and over the years has successfully led Accenture's teams on numerous SAP transformation programmes, including Eskom, Standard Bank, Impala Platinum and Xstrata Alloys—before taking on her current role. Country Managing Director, Kenya
Marshal Luusa is the country managing director of Accenture in Kenya, also looking after Accenture East Africa. He is also the lead for the Africa Security practice—Accenture’s Global Application Security Capability; SAP NetWeaver Identity Management (IDM) and SAP Business Objects GRC practice. Luusa sits on the Enterprise Application Security strategy panel and is part of the Accenture – SAP governance council. Luusa has worked in the consulting industry for more than 20 years where, with his deep experience in operational risk management, market assessment and IT transformation, he has delivered successful outcomes. Luusa has led large, complex and multi-location controls, security rollouts, IT transformation and integration projects in various industries globally. He has worked in the United Kingdom, the United States, Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, Panama, Netherlands, Asia and South Africa before taking on his role in East Africa.

Michelle Smit
Director – Finance, Accenture South Africa
Michelle Smit is director of Finance for Accenture in South Africa, responsible for all matters relating to finance and controllership within South African subsidiaries and Accenture offices expanding across Africa. Smit ensures that each of the developing businesses are growing profitably and her remit currently includes Namibia, Zambia and Kenya. Smit graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree with Honours in Accounting from the University of Pretoria. She also holds a Certificate of Theoretical Accounting and qualified as a chartered accountant in 2000. After some years working for a large accounting firm, Smit joined Accenture in 2004. Over and above her directorship at Accenture, she is a member of the CFO round table in South Africa—run under the auspices of the Executive Global Network—which provides a useful platform for financial officers to develop approaches to common problems.

Mike Salvino
Group Chief Executive – Accenture Operations
Mike Salvino is group chief executive of Accenture Operations. In this role, he oversees Accenture’s comprehensive portfolio of cross-industry (finance, HR, learning, marketing, procurement and supply chain) and industry-specific business process services (including credit services, health, life sciences, network and utilities). He leads a team of professionals charged with developing, selling and delivering differentiated, business process services fuelled by technology and underpinned by analytics to drive tangible business outcomes for clients. Accenture Operations services are delivered through Accenture’s Global Delivery Network, which consists of more than 50 delivery centres across five continents. In addition, Salvino serves as a member of Accenture’s Global Management Committee and Capital Committee.

Managing Director – Technology, South Africa
Mike Rogers is a managing director within Accenture Technology. He is responsible for Accenture’s Advanced Technologies & Architecture practice, which focuses on building complex technology solutions, encompassing cloud, mobility, digital solutions and technology architectures. He is also responsible for Accenture’s Infrastructure Services business—which drives transformation in data centres, workplace technologies, networks and security. He joined Accenture in 1997, and has helped many clients maximise the value of their IT investments—through aligning IT strategies and architecture—to business goals and objectives. Certified as an Accenture master technical architect, his experience in application architecture includes large scale SAP system implementations, as well as the design and build of custom solutions and the integration of enterprise applications. He holds a Bachelor of Business Sciences Honours degree in Information Systems.

Mothusi Lukhele is a director within Accenture's Products group. In this role, he is responsible for retail, systems integration, software sales and business development, as well as the transportation value chain. Managing Director – Technology Delivery Lead, South Africa
Pete Newman is responsible for the Delivery Centre Network in South Africa, mainly made up of the solutions work-force. Newman joined Accenture in 1992, as solutions workforce lead, after having worked in London for a boutique software development company. He has gained extensive experience working on systems integration projects throughout his career at Accenture in the custom and SAP space, as well as in the government, postal, utilities, banking, forestry, transportation and travel industries. Newman holds an Honours degree in Computer Science and has thorough knowledge of and insight into IT strategy and transformation, business process design, business analysis, solution and enterprise architecture, business process improvement, management consulting, project management, and integration.

Peter Sinclair is a managing director within Accenture South Africa’s Management Consulting group. Dr Roze Phillips currently heads up Accenture South Africa’s Products operating group, which serves retail, consumer goods & services, life sciences, automotive, industrial equipment, infrastructure, transportation, air freight & logistics, and travel industries. As part of this role, she is responsible for the company’s Consumer Goods & Services business in South, West and East Africa. Phillips joined Accenture in 1999, and prior to that worked in the medical industry as a researcher, doctor and specialist scientist. Sandy Mohonathan is the director of Human Resources at Accenture South Africa. In this role, she is responsible for attracting, developing, growing and retaining the best talent for Accenture and its clients. Mohonathan is passionate about developing human potential and is known for her professionalism, commitment to mentoring, and deep understanding of the impact of human talent on organisational growth and success. Mohonathan joined Accenture in 1996 and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, as well as a higher diploma in Human Resources (HR) from the Institute for People Management. Managing Director – Retail, South Africa
Sean Katzen is a managing director in Accenture South Africa and leads the South African Automotive and Construction practice. He also leads a dedicated team implementing SAP Retail for the JD Group. He joined Accenture in 1995 and has worked across multiple retail clients, implementing a diverse set of business solutions including Retek and SAP. He also has significant automotive industry experience, and clients have included original equipment manufacturers, dealers and distributors. He holds a degree in Aeronautical Engineering.

Simon Russell is the managing director of Accenture's Financial Services practice in South Africa and Nigeria, which includes banking, insurance and capital markets. His primary area of focus is helping banks transform to become industrialised—differentiated on the outside and simplified on the inside. He has led the Financial Services team since 2007, and in this role has assisted a range of blue-chip clients to navigate the increasing pace of change in the Industry—by focusing on innovation, customer-centricity and execution excellence.
