Accenture Green Technology Suite
A complementary suite of tools created by Accenture Technology Labs and Accenture Technology Consulting to help clients easily create sound green strategies with business benefits that lead to high performance.
Going green is no longer an option and high-performance businesses and governments all around the world are responding to the need to reduce carbon emissions in everything they do. As a major contributor to an organization’s carbon footprint, the IT department has a crucial role to play in meeting these goals.
However, this is not a matter of mere compliance. Accenture’s High Performance Business research—an ongoing program to uncover the defining characteristics of high performance across 36 industry segments and more than 6,000 companies—reveals that high performers use IT innovation as a strategic tool to transform business processes and thus to outperform competitors.
In this spirit of harnessing innovation to improve the way the business functions, Accenture Technology Labs and Accenture Technology Consulting have created the Accenture Green Technology Suite, a set of complementary tools to help organizations transform their IT departments to reduce carbon emissions—and better enable new ways of working, such as mobility and telepresence—that will ultimately yield business benefits.

It then helps decision makers create and evaluate strategies for cost and carbon savings as tools to reach for high performance.

In addition, many work habits—such as traveling unnecessarily to meetings—contribute to a company’s carbon footprint. The Workplace Estimator applies the same principles as the Data Center Estimator to help organizations build green technology strategies and environment-friendly IT practices within their offices.
