Mark R. Willford is the managing director of Accenture’s global SAP business. Joining Accenture in 1987, Willford has worked exclusively in the SAP space since 1990 beginning with the SAP R/2 software. Willford worked on the first major SAP R/3 implementation in the world beginning in 1992. In the late 1990s, Willford was based in Paris, France, where he had responsibility for managing Accenture’s SAP solution centers across Europe.
Willford is responsible for Accenture’s executive relationship with SAP. In addition, he is responsible for Accenture’s core SAP capabilities including methodology, assets and tools.
Finally, Willford is responsible for Accenture’s most important SAP resource—our people—that includes a pool of more than 34,000 SAP-skilled practitioners around the world.
Willford spends most of his time in the field with our clients helping plan and deliver SAP-based business change programs. He has had leadership roles on some of the largest, most complex SAP programs in the world.
Willford is based in Chicago, Illinois and makes his home in Lake Forest, Illinois with wife Shannon and their four sons: John, Christopher, Shawn and Lucca. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
