Pamela J. Craig is Accenture's chief financial officer. Her responsibilities include the Corporate Controllership, Treasury, Tax, Investor Relations, Client Finance and Commercial Directors, Finance Operations, Corporate Development and Transaction Services and Strategic Planning & Analysis functions. She is also a member of Accenture's Global Executive Committee, Global Operating Committee, Global Management Committee, Global Leadership Council and Capital Committee.
From March 2004 until October 2006, Ms. Craig was senior vice president—Finance, with global responsibility for client, group and geographic finance. Prior to that, Ms. Craig, was group director—Business Operations & Services, managed a budget of $1.4 billion with responsibility for Accenture's Geographic Services, the CIO function, travel and cross-company operations. Prior to 2001, Ms. Craig held several line management positions in the company's Products and Communications & High Tech operating groups and spent more than 20 years in consulting with a focus on Finance and Enterprise Performance.
Throughout her career, Ms. Craig has been committed to the advancement and retention of women at Accenture, supporting Accenture senior women and emerging leaders globally. Ms. Craig is a recipient of the 2008 National Council for Research on Women’s "Making a Difference for Women Award."
In Institutional Investor’s 2012 All-America Executive Team ranking, Ms. Craig was named as America's Best CFO in the Computer Services & IT Consulting category by sell-side analysts. She serves on the board of directors for Akamai Technologies, a leading provider of cloud optimization services. Previously, she served on the Board and as Audit Committee chair for Avanade, a joint venture of Accenture and Microsoft, during a critical period of Avanade’s growth.
Ms. Craig is also a member of the state board of directors of Junior Achievement of New Jersey and of the board of directors for Comprehensive Development, Inc., a non-profit that provides academic and social-service support to at-risk New York City high school students.
Ms. Craig joined Accenture in 1979, practicing as a certified public accountant for three years, and began working in consulting in 1982. She became a partner in 1991. Ms. Craig holds a master of business administration degree from New York University and a bachelor's degree with honors in economics from Smith College.
