Senior Managing Director, Accenture Strategy, North America
Matt leads Accenture's Strategy business in North America. In this role he is responsible for the profitable growth and strategic positioning of the practice. He is also an active participant in Accenture's North America Geographic Leadership team, and the Accenture North American Corporate Citizenship governance council. He works with C-suite clients with a focus on helping companies align their strategy with execution.
Prior to his current role, he was the Senior Managing Director of Management Consulting North America. In this role he and his leadership team developed and implemented an approach to drive profitable growth in the Management Consulting business that focused on shaping clients’ C-suite agendas through nurturing C-suite relationships, targeting and delivering client value, and optimized pricing. This approach is still producing results as part of Accenture Strategy North America.
Before leading Management Consulting he was Global Managing Director for the Process & Innovation Performance service line. In this role, he built a global consulting business focused on helping clients create a disruptive competitive advantage through designing and building execution capabilities. Matt joined Accenture with the acquisition of the George Group in 2007.
He started his consulting career at A.T. Kearney, where we was elected a Principal and focused on strategy and operations work in the Industrial and Consumer Products industries.
Before joining the world of consulting, Matt was an executive at General Electric, holding a variety of general management positions in one of the industrial businesses.
He began his professional career as an officer in the US Navy, serving as an Engineering officer and department head.
Matt earned an academic scholarship and his undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona, and an MBA degree from Emory University. He is based in Atlanta where he lives with his wife and three children.
