Managing Director – Accenture Strategy, Talent & Organization, North America Lead
Katherine LaVelle is managing director and lead for Talent & Organization North America within Accenture Strategy. Her role focuses on helping organizations increase the value of their human capital and improve the performance of their enterprises.
Ms. LaVelle specializes in driving large-scale organization, merger, HR, and workforce transformation efforts to improve employee and workforce performance and deliver bottom line results. She also specializes in implementing multi-country, large-scale and complex change programs in capital markets and retail banking.
An industry thought leader, Ms. LaVelle is often called upon by major publications including The Wall Street Journal, Fortune, The New York Times, and HR News for expert commentary and insights. In 2011, Katherine was named to Washington Business Journal’s “Top 25 Women Who Mean Business,” honoring the most influential businesswomen in the Washington DC Area. In 2012, Katherine was named to Diversity MBA Magazine’s list of “Top 100 Executive Leaders.”
A passionate advocate for community service, Ms. LaVelle served six years, the last three as chair, on the board of NPower Greater DC, a not-for-profit technology consulting organization serving charities in the Washington DC area. Ms. LaVelle also participates with the Robin Hood Foundation, Bread for the City and Only Make Believe.
Ms. LaVelle holds a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business from Arizona State University and a Masters of Business Administration from Georgetown University. She is based in Washington, D.C., United States.
