Gianmario Pisanu leads Accenture’s Health and Public Service business in Italy, Greece, Turkey, Eastern Europe and the Middle East. With more than 12 years of international experience, Pisanu oversees Accenture’s healthcare, public safety, education, welfare and e-government business and is responsible for the region’s growth initiatives, strategy and market capabilities.
Pisanu joined Accenture in 2000 and has spent more than a decade overseeing the company’s local market and government initiatives, including large-scale technology and transformation programs.
Prior to his work with Accenture, Pisanu covered key roles in the telecommunications, Internet and media sectors, serving as chief financial officer with Excite Italia and as business development manager with Telecom Italia.
Pisanu earned a master’s in business administration (MBA) in 1994, from the University of Nottingham. He received his undergraduate degree in economics from LUISS University in Rome, Italy.
He lives in Rome with his wife and daughter.
