Adrian Lajtha is Accenture's chief leadership officer. In this role he has primary responsibility for Accenture's global Inclusion & Diversity initiatives, its Human Capital Strategy, its Leadership Development programs, its Succession Planning and its Corporate Citizenship initiatives, including Skills to Succeed. Mr. Lajtha is also a member of Accenture's Global Management Committee.
Prior to being named chief leadership officer in September 2007, Mr. Lajtha was group chief executive of Accenture's Financial Services operating group, which serves clients in the banking, capital markets and insurance industries. From 2000 to May 2005, he was managing director of Accenture's Financial Services business in the United Kingdom and Ireland. He led Accenture's Resources operating group in the United Kingdom, Ireland and South Africa from 1999 to 2000 and the company's Strategy unit in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region from 1993 to 1999.
Mr. Lajtha has worked with most of the large financial institutions in the United Kingdom, as well as a number of major retail financial services organizations in the United States, continental Europe and Australia. He has specialized in customer relationship management, large complex strategic change management and the emergence of new business models in the financial services industry.
Mr. Lajtha joined Accenture in 1979 and became a partner in 1990. He served on Accenture's Board of Partners prior to Accenture's incorporation in 2001. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and a former member of the Council of the Institute of Financial Services in the United Kingdom.
Mr. Lajtha holds a degree in Classics from Oxford University.
