Accenture CEO and Investor Relations Top-Ranked by Investment Professionals
Accenture Chairman & CEO Bill Green and the company’s Investor Relations (IR) program have been recognized first in the Computer Services & IT Consulting category on Institutional Investor’s 2009 rankings for America’s Best CEOs and America’s Best Investor Relations.
Since 2003, Accenture has been recognized “best in sector” by Institutional Investor based on its survey of investment professionals who rank companies for best IR communications, best CEOs and most shareholder friendly companies.
The listing of America’s best IR teams is based on the independent views of more than 400 sell-side analysts, more than 600 buy-side analysts and portfolio managers. In announcing the 2009 results, the executive editor of Institutional Investor said: “Although companies may be tempted to withdraw from shareholders during these times, the best IR teams in the US are actively engaging with their investors. Now more than ever, shareholders are looking for clear, up-to-date information from corporate executives.” Among the 54 companies on the list, Accenture was one of 14 rated best in IR by both sell-side and buy-side analysts.
Accenture’s Chairman & CEO Bill Green placed first among America’s Best CEOs in its sector for the third year in a row. This Institutional Investor’s ranking reflects the opinions of more than 900 buy-side investment professionals who were asked to name the best US CEOs in the sectors in which they invest.
Accenture also ranks on Institutional Investor’s 2009 list of America’s Most Shareholder Friendly Companies.
