This notice is available to employees and others in the recorded message to callers to telephone Accenture Business Ethics Line, on the Accenture Business Ethics Line web site, from the softcopy of the Code of Business Ethics, and various other internal and external locations.
Notice: Personal information of any individual that Accenture obtains or receives during the reporting and investigation process will be held and used in accordance with Accenture's Data Privacy Policy 90 and data privacy laws. Personal information will only be used for strict purposes of reporting and investigations. It will be treated confidentially and shared internally with a limited number of people who have a need to know or who are responsible for dealing with reports and investigations. This may, in some cases, include persons in other countries where Accenture does business.
Personal information will not be disclosed to anyone outside Accenture, unless Accenture determines that a disclosure is necessary to regulatory and enforcement bodies, or such a disclosure is required by law, or in a court proceeding. Individuals have a right to request a copy of personal information Accenture holds about them and to ask for correction of their personal information held by Accenture, in accordance and subject to any exemptions provided in the company's Data Privacy Policy 90 and data privacy laws.
Accenture uses a specialist third-party service provider to receive calls from employees wishing to report on violations or suspected violations of the Code of Business Ethics. Accenture has put in place measures to ensure the service provider protects personal data of our employees, as required by data privacy laws.
Accenture will not tolerate retaliation against any employee because they used the Business Ethics Lines to report an ethical or legal concern. Accenture will not tolerate any abuse or misuse of the Ethics Lines including any slanderous or unjustified denunciations.
