Join us for Accenture’s featured lecture where the challenges and triumphs of implementing the first national EHR are discussed. Understand how Singapore addressed this ambitious business vision faster and at a lower cost than anyone expected.
Martin Renwick, senior executive, Accenture
Thomas S. Rainey, program director, National EHR Singapore, Ministry of Health Holdings
As other countries continue to grapple with the issue of how to implement a nationwide electronic health record, Singapore’s Ministry of Health has embarked on a journey to build a National Electronic Health Record (NEHR) system that provides a common access point for medical information for her population of 5.1 million. It has identified some useful lessons in its ongoing journey to improve quality of care and health outcomes while optimizing efficiency and cost. Accenture and MOH Holdings are working together to create the NEHR system using a common application architecture, data standards, and privacy and security guidelines.
In 2011, Accenture and MOH Holdings began deploying the NEHR to provide clinicians with a summary care record for each patient including problem lists, medications, discharge and event summaries, allergies, immunizations, investigations, and procedures.

In a session moderated by Kaveh Safavi, Greg Parston will give a 15-20 minute report on the study’s findings, then panelists will share their real world experiences and solicit audience questions and feedback.
