Howdy! It has been awhile since my last blog, but I have been busy diving into my new role and taking advantage of all the after-work networking events. While they aren’t required, they can definitely expose you to key people at the firm and grow your networking skills. I have been attempting to do it all. |

So I’m going to share some of my recent experiences using “Say It in Six” (definition: phrase designed to instruct one to use as minimum words as possible- ideally, no more than six words per bullet, and no more than six bullet lines, per slide in power points.) |
| |
Affinity Group Events: It’s great to meet people at the firm who identify with career experiences similar to your own. |
| |
Senior Executive Power Lunch: How many new hires do you know that can say they met five senior executives over pizza? |
| |
Project Social Events: Each engagement at Accenture has their own culture; however, it’s quite common for colleagues to attend social events after work to grow comradery in a more casual environment. |
| |
Volunteering: I’m searching for opportunities and networking to find thoughtful ways to become involved around the DC Metro area. |
| |
Career Consulting: At Accenture, you get a Career Consoler, commonly referred to as “CC”; they assist you in career building and professional development. I make it a point to connect with mine. |
| |
With all these events I’m attending AFTER WORK, I have been a busy man. But I have to maximize every opportunity! That’s Accenture. |
