Accenture to acquire Duck Creek Technologies
Published: Jul-14-11

If we’ve learned anything from the past few years, it’s that there is no “business as usual.” High-performing businesses are in a continual cycle of analysis and improvement.

That’s why I’m pleased to announce that Accenture has entered into an agreement to acquire Duck Creek Technologies. Duck Creek is a privately held company that offers software solutions for the property and casualty industry. The acquisition will accelerate our ongoing commitment to providing differentiated software solutions for the insurance industry through our dedicated software business, Accenture Software.

For our clients, this will mean that we will be able to help you react faster to changing market conditions, launch products faster and reduce operating costs.

On the technical side, this acquisition will enable us to provide clients with leading edge, comprehensive P&C software. While most carriers know that legacy platform transformation is critical, implementation can be challenging. By offering comprehensive P&C solutions, we can make it much easier and more achievable for carriers to execute platform migration.

It’s an exciting time to be in the P&C insurance industry. I look forward to working with the team at Duck Creek after the closing of this acquisition. A copy of the press release is available at the Accenture Newsroom.
