WeylChem: SAP ERP System

Being one of the privately held International Chemical Investors Group’s midsize chemical businesses, WeylChem focuses on custom manufacturing, providing a range of fine and specialty chemicals used in pharmaceuticals, dyes and pigments, agrochemicals and cosmetics.

Following its acquisition by the International Chemical Investors Group, WeylChem had to become fully independent of Clariant’s WINS system by the end of June 2008. To replace this system, WeylChem had selected SAP, the leading enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution.

To successfully execute this migration, WeylChem needed to design, build and implement the new SAP system, migrate its existing data as well as facilitate integration with third-party warehouses. In addition, it would need to deploy the system at WeylChem’s German and US sites. Once deployed, WeylChem then needed a knowledgeable and experienced solutions provider to support and maintain the new SAP system. It chose Accenture.
