A personal care company needed a strategy for leveraging social media for recruitment purposes and needed turnkey mechanisms for posting jobs on social media platforms.
The client needed a strategy for leveraging social media for recruitment purposes and needed turnkey mechanisms for posting jobs on social media platforms. Accenture, which had an ongoing engagement with the company, developed a talent community management solution for social media recruitment. The solution would be applied to the company’s North American operations. Goals included driving more candidates to open positions and engaging with job seekers more regularly.
We created a platform for routing job postings regularly to Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn groups. Accenture also:
set up tools to deliver job information to targeted social media sites and to help the client control the number of job postings per hour it sends out to the sites.
established tools for tracking volume of traffic driven to job descriptions.
simplified the process recruiters use to find candidates in social spaces and indexed web sites.
enabled candidates to find company information on the client’s social media sites and link directly to job postings on the company’s own web site.
The company now has 1,100 followers on Twitter, 1,000 on Facebook and 300 on LinkedIn. Traffic to job postings is 1,000-1,300 applicants per month, setting the stage for increasing number of hires.
The client is now posting more than 100 jobs per month, significantly greater than the 1-2 postings per month it previously handled (which were done manually).
By enabling members of affinity groups to interact on Facebook, including “Liking” jobs, the solution has laid the foundation for driving diversity in job candidates—a key goal within the company.
