NISH, a nonprofit organization based in Vienna, Virginia, supports nonprofit agencies participating in the AbilityOne Program—a federal government program that provides employment opportunities for people who are blind or have other severe disabilities by procuring federal contracts for goods and services.
Working in partnership with NISH, Accenture created a modular LOB definition, including identifying the technology areas required, which will allow NISH to take advantage of the varying skill sets and interests of its nonprofit agency network while providing its customers with distinct levels of functionality based on their business.
Additionally, Accenture performed market and industry analysis to gather information on industry trends and compile market data for the new LOB.
Accenture produced job analysis data detailing the type and average number of new jobs that would be created by this LOB, and created a financial model detailing cost and revenue information for both NISH and its CRPs to help determine the job benefits from the LOB. Lastly, Accenture worked with NISH to create a proposed solution and action plan detailing recommended next steps on how to implement the new LOB.
The new Secure Mail/Digital Document Services LOB created by the Accenture and NISH team will help NISH meet its strategic job creation goal while ensuring continued high quality service offerings to both current and future customers of its affiliated nonprofit agencies.
