Executives needed to conduct rigorous financial planning for the A$37.4 billion dollar network, as NBN Co would soon start work on network construction projects that required large-scale procurement.
And the system needed to be operational by the start of that new financial year—only a few months away.
Accenture and NBN Co designed a finance and procurement management system using the Financial Management and Advanced Procurement modules of the Oracle E-Business Suite.
Working to exceptionally tight deadlines, a joint team formulated a phased deployment strategy to deliver the core system functionality by June 30, 2010.
Today, NBN Co executives have the Oracle-based financial management capabilities and systems to accurately manage the A$37.4 billion network construction budget of Australia’s largest public infrastructure project, as well as the network services the company will soon provide.
