Innovating public services to achieve high performance
As questions are raised about the role of government and society in the current economic environment, governments need to explore how to innovate to improve operational performance and become a catalyst for change.
To address this shortfall, Accenture, together with the Lisbon Council and the College of Europe has initiated Government of the Future, a pan-European, multifaceted programme aimed at developing a community of public sector policy makers, solution practitioners and public administration experts.
Designed to help governments address the challenges facing their organisations, the programme brings together a network of high-level public servants who engage in constructive dialogue around tackling issues in the public sector in Europe.
Accenture brings a broad range of skills and knowledge, backed by strong research capabilities.
Our aim is to inspire action by providing insight into some of the vital aspects of public service provision today: operational cost reduction and operational excellence, employment and education, the future of policing, welfare reform, healthcare and sustainable public finance.
For more than 15 years, Accenture has gained skills and knowledge across diverse public service operations. We combine extensive research with project engagements in sectors such as health, revenue, finance, defense, education, justice, police and employment, to name a few. We have identified major trends, key areas for improvement, critical change levers, process maps, benchmarks and mastery scales, IT frameworks and key service provision models. We have evaluated major cross administration activities around services, lean, mergers and restructuring to IT transformation, talent management, eGovernment and outsourcing.
Accenture teams with government agencies around the world, sharing this breadth of knowledge and skills to help clients define their own transformation program and achieve high performance.
