Health industry executives need to evaluate what cloud computing can do for their organizations. Asking the right questions is the place to start.
Health care is a highly complex and fragmented industry. It is unique in that it must support a widespread, diverse professional user population (i.e., clinicians) with patients in life-threatening situations. The industry is facing growing economic and regulatory pressures that make its IT infrastructure ripe for radical change. In combination, these two factors suggest that organizations in the health industry should take a closer look at the potential benefits of cloud computing.
