Realizing the embedded mobile opportunity together: Mobile and non-mobile industries will need to collaborate to enable an ecosystem of connected devices.
Between November 2009 and February 2010, Accenture and the Global System for Mobile Communications Association conducted two research studies on the embedded mobile market. The aim of the studies was to assess the market opportunity and the main barriers to its development. We conducted interviews with technologically innovative companies and early adopter consumers. The studies prioritized four vertical segments among corporate participants—automotive, health care, energy and digital home.
