Mobile Management: Business Process Outsourcing On the Move

The continuing growth in the use of mobile devices in business is sparking a complementary trend: the growth of mobile outsourcing. This trend relates to the management of mobility services, from IT to true business process outsourcing.

According to Gartner research, the growing need for mobile devices to be managed will mean that the monthly recurring charges associated with them will increase through 2015. "Organizations see that adding good mobile interfaces to both core applications and important information, such as research, will allow them to interact on the go, in a much more engaged manner," says Cathy Tornbohm, research director at Gartner.

As one of the companies offering services in this new space, Accenture has developed BPO Navigator, a portal that provides both clients and Accenture teams with real-time visibility into business, including operational performance and critical business data on any device with internet access.
