Entrepreneurs surveyed in the Accenture-G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance study said that global expansion is important for job growth and that digital technologies facilitate such expansion.
The study reveals that of the entrepreneurs who expect hyper revenue growth (greater than 15 percent) in 2014, 73 percent consider international expansion as either critical or important to growing their business. Surprisingly, 70 percent of younger firms—those launched in the past 12 months—are already thinking of international expansion. These are the “born global” entrepreneurs.
The study explores how multinational companies and governments can help accelerate entrepreneurs’ international expansion plans, and, thus, create more youth jobs in the G20 countries.
