The 2011 Accenture IT Report looks at what it takes to build an increasingly virtual global enterprise.
This year’s IT Report focuses on ‘any one, any place, any time’ teamwork. With the help of Accenture’s internal IT organization, Accenture is powered by a global enterprise workforce working virtually and collaborating seamlessly.
The report highlights the collaborative efforts needed to develop and implement global tools like the new Accenture website and the Accenture Portal. Accenture IT teams assembled from around the world discuss the construction of an integrated platform for Accenture Treasury; the ongoing deployment of the new financial and delivery management tool, Manage myEngagements; and the upgrade of Accenture’s Ariba procurement platform.
Innovative technologies continue to play a major role in the virtual enterprise, beginning with a major new video bridging initiative designed to help the Accenture workforce collaborate more effectively. CIO teams continue to move more of the company’s infrastructure and services to the cloud in order to enable the flexibility the company needs. IT truly is an engine for high performance at Accenture.
