Driving high performance through a deeper outsourcing relationship focused on generating long-term value.
Now that organizations have successfully achieved significant operational savings by outsourcing their enterprise learning function, they need to set their sights on generating business value beyond cost reduction. This paper argues that achieving this next level of value depends on moving outsourcing beyond a merely transactional relationship with a provider. Organizations should be developing deeper relationships with their outsourcing services company, where the insights of the provider into strategy and operations can have a greater impact.
Learning outsourcing can deliver results for businesses that can help them achieve high performance: supporting business transformation and revenue growth; reducing overall workforce costs and improving productivity; providing ongoing access to innovation; helping develop deep, specialized skills in key workforces that can drive a distinctive, differentiated talent capability; and creating more precision across the organization in terms of governance, control and metrics.
