Andrew Poppleton runs Accenture’s UK and Ireland Technology business, which includes both consulting and outsourcing and accounts for approximately 70 percent of Accenture’s UKI business. He is also responsible for our Network Transformation work at RBS.
Poppleton joined Accenture in 1989 and was promoted to executive director in 2001. He has spent the majority of his career delivering large, complex business integration projects for a range of clients across multiple industries. Before taking on the role of UKI TGP managing director, Poppleton led the Financial Services Technology business.
Poppleton is an associate of the Institute of Engineering and Technology and sponsors Accenture’s work with UK Youth, a charity dedicated to helping young people reach their potential.
He studied at Kings College London where he also met his wife Sarah. They have three children (Emma, Rachel and Henry) and live in Harpenden, Hertfordshire. Poppleton enjoys playing golf (badly), skiing (inelegantly) and playing the saxophone—the latter much to his children’s embarrassment.
