Accenture and the World Economic Forum
Accenture is a strategic partner of the World Economic Forum. For the past 15 years, Accenture has worked closely with the World Economic Forum and the other strategic partner organizations to advance the Forum’s goal of driving positive change and improving the state of the world. Through this relationship, Accenture participates in a year-round program of speaking at the Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland and regional summits in Latin America, China and India, and attends the many regional meetings around the world. Accenture also collaborates with the World Economic Forum through joint-research projects and communities and initiatives.

As a strategic partner, Accenture participates throughout the year in the many regional World Economic Forums around the world. For 2011, executives attended the
World Economic Forum on Africa in Cape Town, South Africa; the
World Economic Forum on Europe and Central Asia in Vienna Austria; the
World Economic Forum on East Asia in Jakarta, Indonesia; and the
World Economic Forum on the Middle East in the Dead Sea, Jordan. Accenture executives will also attend and speak in the plenary at the
Annual Meeting of the New Champions (or “Summer Davos”), September 14-16 in Dalian, China, and the annual
India Economic Summit, November 20-21, in Mumbai.
World Economic Forum Research
For the past few years, Accenture has partnered on joint-research projects with the World Economic Forum. In 2010, we conducted three joint-research projects--"Energy Efficiency”, "Exploring the Future of Cloud Computing" and "Smart Grids”—that produced
reports shared at the Annual Meeting in Davos.
In 2011, Accenture is conducting four joint-research projects with the World Economic Forum that include Supply Chain and Transport risk, New Energy Architectures, Green Growth Partnerships and Sustainable Consumption. The findings to these timely and important topics will be presented at the 2012 Annual Meeting in Davos.

Risk Officer’s Community
Steven Culp, managing director of Accenture Risk Management, is a member of newly created Risk Officer’s Community of the World Economic Forum. Part of the
Risk Response Network, this Community will connect business and public sector leaders to bring together the practical tools, solutions and approaches to advance the world’s capacity to deal with complex, emerging systemic risks.
